Tbilisi will host the 2026 European Sambo Championships

The European Sambo Championships for adults will take place in Tbilisi on May 16 and 17. Over the course of two days of competition, the top athletes in women’s sports sambo, men’s sports sambo, and combat sambo will take to the mats.

More than 300 athletes from 26 European countries have already confirmed their participation in the tournament. The championship will bring together the continent’s top sambo athletes, including medalists from major international competitions and national championships.

The tournament will be one of the key events on the European sambo calendar and will take place in an atmosphere of intense competition, high-stakes matchups, and the battle for European championship titles.

On May 15, the day before the competition, the European Sambo Federation Congress will be held, during which the organization’s work over the past year will be reviewed, issues regarding the development of sambo in Europe will be discussed, and key directions for the Federation’s future activities will be outlined.
