On March 7, 2026, the city of Panagyurishte once again hosted a major sambo event. The Bulgarian Cadet Sambo Championship was held at the Asarel Arena, home to many tournaments.
The large-scale competition brought together over 200 young athletes representing 25 leading sports clubs from across Bulgaria. The tournament was an important stage for identifying the most promising young talents who could earn spots at the 2026 World Championship as part of the national team.
The intense competition in each weight category demonstrated the level of training of cadets in Bulgaria. The matches were characterized by a particular intensity and determination to win.
