SOFIA, Bulgaria — The sports community has received the official regulations for the upcoming sambo competition, which will be held in the Bulgarian capital in midsummer. The tournament is scheduled for July 10-13, 2026.
The competition will bring together young sambists aged 14 to 16. Organizers expect representatives from various national sambo schools to participate, for whom the tournament in Sofia will be an excellent opportunity to establish themselves on the international stage.
The organizing committee of the competition has prepared special conditions for delegations. According to the new regulations, the host country will provide full accommodation and meals for 10 representatives from each National Sambo Federation.
This step by the Bulgarian organizers is aimed at supporting the national teams and promoting sambo among young people, allowing them to field the highest-quality rosters and focus exclusively on the sporting aspect of the tournament.
“We strive to create the most comfortable conditions possible for young sambists and their coaches. Support in the form of accommodation and meals for ten people from each federation is our contribution to the development of international cooperation and the future of our sport,” the organizing committee noted.
