FIAS Invites SAMBO Athletes to Join ITA’s Fourth Anti-Doping Webinar Series

January 26

The International SAMBO Federation (FIAS), in partnership with the International Testing Agency (ITA), is pleased to present the fourth series of anti-doping education webinars.

This educational initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to promoting clean sport principles, protecting athletes’ rights, and raising awareness of anti-doping regulations throughout the SAMBO community.

Whether you’re an athlete, coach, doctor, or part of an athlete support team, this is your opportunity to:

— Refresh your knowledge

— Learn about the latest updates to anti-doping regulations

— Earn a certificate of participation

The education program will run from February 25 to March 11. The series consists of three online sessions covering key aspects of anti-doping rules.

The first webinar, “Introduction to Anti-Doping”, scheduled for February 25, will provide an overview of rights and responsibilities, anti-doping rule violations, consequences of doping, and proactive disclosure procedures.

The second session on March 4 will focus on the Prohibited List, medications, Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUEs), supplements, and the principle of strict liability.

The final webinar on March 11 will cover testing procedures, the Athlete Biological Passport (ABP), testing pools, and whereabouts requirements.

Participants only need to register once to access all three webinars in the series. Registration also provides access to recordings and supplementary materials. The webinars will be conducted in English with simultaneous interpretation in Arabic, French, Chinese, Russian, and Spanish.

Participants can earn an IF Webinar Series certificate by meeting one of the following requirements:

— Attend at least one live webinar session

— Watch the webinar recordings and complete a test that will be available after the third webinar. The test will remain open for six weeks following the conclusion of the series.
