President of the European Sambo Federation Sergey Eliseev met with Damir Šegota, a representative of the Croatian National Olympic Committee, who holds the position of Director of the Olympic Program Department, in Zagreb (Croatia) today. The meeting was also attended by Željko Banic, President of the Croatian Sambo Federation, and Mario JurkoviĆ Secretary General of the CSF.
Despite the informal nature of the meeting (“no ties”), the participants discussed a number of important issues. Among them is the support of the Croatian Sambo Federation from the Croatian National Olympic Committee, and preparations for the European Cup in 2026.
The participants of the meeting discussed the topic of including SAMBO in the official program of the 2027 European Games. Additional consultations between representatives of the European Sambo Federation and the Croatian National Olympic Committee are planned for further elaboration of this issue.
