The International SAMBO Federation (FIAS) has published the official regulations for the 2025 World SAMBO Championships. The tournament will take place on 6-10 November in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, bringing together the strongest sambists from around the globe.
The Championships will feature Sport SAMBO (men and women), Combat SAMBO (men and women), as well as Blind SAMBO (men, SVI1 category).
Sport SAMBO — Men: 58, 64, 71, 79, 88, 98, +98 kg
Sport SAMBO — Women: 50, 54, 59, 65, 72, 80, +80 kg
Combat SAMBO — Men: 58, 64, 71, 79, 88, 98, +98 kg
Combat SAMBO — Women: 50, 54, 59, 65, 72, 80, +80 kg
Blind SAMBO — Men (SVI1): 64, 79, 98 kg
The total prize fund of the 2025 World Championships amounts to USD 341,000. Equal prize money is allocated across all disciplines:
Gold — USD 4,000
Silver — USD 3,000
Bronze — USD 2,000 (each medalist)
All athletes must be registered in the FIAS electronic database. The draw will be conducted through the FIAS electronic system, taking into account the 2025 international ranking. In Sport SAMBO, athletes will be divided into groups with repechage from the finalists. In Combat SAMBO, the competition will take place without repechage.
