The International Sambo Federation has established special awards for the winners and medalists of the Sambo World Championship, which will be held on November 10-12 in Yerevan. The sambists who won medals of the main tournament of the year in the international calendar will become the owners of unique precious FIAS badges. In addition, the winners and runners-up of the tournament will traditionally play for a prize fund of 231 thousand US dollars.
The FIAS badges are made of precious metals corresponding to the medal categories: gold, silver and bronze. For sambo wrestlers they will become a good memory of the World Championship, which will be held in the anniversary year for sambo.
The distribution of the prize fund among the winners will be as follows:
Gold medalist — 4000 US dollars;
Silver medalist — 3000 US dollars;
Bronze medalists — 2000 US dollars each.
