Francisco Serna on Federation’s work during the isolation and future plans

Francisco Serna, President of the Spanish Federation of Olympic Wrestling and Associated Disciplines, in a special interview for eurosambo.com shares some news about the life of their National Federation and how their athletes train during the isolation:

— How is the quarantine in your country?

— We are progressing in phases of job return and business opening little by little, there are fewer and fewer infections and deaths and we hope to return to relative normality shortly.

— How do athletes train in quarantine-related circumstances?

— They are doing physical training without contact and the situation will still be long to be able to restart contact.

— What is the federation doing during the quarantine?

— We continue to work administratively, online, coordinating aid, reincorporation programs, reporting on progress in sports, preparing the last quarter of the year in case it is possible to return to competition, preparing alternatives based on the evolution of the pandemic, preparing protocols for medical safety in sports.

— What plans do the athletes and the federation have after the quarantine ends?

— Reopen the clubs, help the Regional Federations so that they help the clubs, reinitiate the activity of national competition, carry out training concentrations to activate the national teams, publicize our social networks to motivate the base of our sport.
