At the moment, the Azerbaijani athletes are actively preparing for the European Sambo Championship, which starts this Friday in Spain (Gijon). It is planned that the sambo athletes will take part in the competition in the following weight categories: 52 kg, 57 kg, 68 kg, 74 kg, 82 kg, 100 kg (5 athletes in sports sambo, 1 athlete in combat sambo).
The athletes also plan to take part in the ΙΙ European Games to be held on June 22-23, 2019 in the Republic of Belarus, Minsk.
