Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the Belarus Sambo Team on its successful performance at the World Championship, according to BELTA press-service of the Belarusian leader.
“Having shown sportsmanship, firm character, patience and perseverance, you confirmed the high level of the Belarusian school of this type of sport and set a good example for athletes who are preparing for the II European Games 2019 in Minsk,” press-service informs.
The head of state expressed special gratitude to Sviatlana Tsimashenka and Tatsiana Matsko, who defended the titles of the best sambo athletes on the planet in their weight categories.
The President also wished the athletes good health and new victories.
