Five Latvian sambo-wrestlers will take part in World Championships in Minsk

Latvian Sambo Club Association has posted the list of the sportsmen which will take part in the World Sambo Championships beginning on November, 9th in Minsk (Belarus).

National sambo team of Latvia includes five sportsmen. Linda Circene (weight category up to 56 kg) will take part in women competitions. Artūrs Černjavskis (up to 74 kg) and his brother Vladislavs (up to 90 kg) will fight for medals in combat sambo tournament as soon as Viktors Reško (up to 100 kg) and Aleksandrs Masrtjakovs (over 100 kg).

It is important to note that Vladislavs Černjavskis won the bronze medal on the World Championship in Vilnius (Lithuania) last year. Fighting in the weight category up to 82 kg (combat sambo) he got the only Latvian medal at this tounament.
