Sergey Eliseev elected as President of the ESF for a new term of office

In Serbia, within the framework of the European Championship, a report-election conference of the European Sambo Federation was held.


Sergey Vladimirovich Eliseev, representative of Russia, was elected President of the European Sambo Federation for a new 4-year term.

Vice-presidents were:

Mikael Hayrapetyan (Armenia)

Patrik Drid (Serbia)

“Over the many years of our leadership we have come a long way from a few local tournaments a year, to major continental competitions. Sambo entered the program of prestigious multi-sport competitions such as: II European Games, World Universiade, Sport Accord Games, as well as Sambo received Olympic recognition. I would like to thank you all for your support and I hope that with the new composition of the Executive Committee we will reach new heights. The next four years will be a breakthrough for the development of sambo in Europe, thanks to our joint efforts”. — said Sergey Vladimirovich in his speech.

Let us remind you that right now in Novi Sad the European Championship is taking place. Our national team performs in the full squad, tomorrow the first meetings will begin. In total, 29 countries and 750 athletes came to the continental tournament, which is a record for the continental championship.
