    «On July 24, 2010 the sport training seminar for Sambo was held under the guidance of the European Sambo Federation secretary Roberto Ferraris» said president of the Australian Sambo Federation Svetlana Neubauer-Sokolik.

    In the fist day of the seminar Mr. Ferraris trained a children’s Sambo team. Part of the team had participated in ‘Germaniada‘ Sambo competitions, which are annually organized by Josef Bart. That is why the training of the Italian master was interesting for the children.

    «Let’s hope for a prompt result as they will wrestle on carpet in October in Germany» said Svetlana Neubauer-Sokolik.

    The second and third seminars were dedicated to the training of adult athletes. Roberto Ferraris held the seminar on a high level, in particular with the wrestlers. President of the Slovakian Sambo club ‘B. U. Sambo. Tesmaz‘ and athlete Dulo Valent also participated.

    Wrestlers and coaches from different regions of Austria got trained in a course of basic technical and tactical Sambo hooks. Lukic Damir, head of the Combat Club and two coaches Kubat Ante and Marincic Ivan have been interested in Sambo sport for a long period, After the end of the seminar they expressed their wish to develop this type of wrestling in their region and became members of the Austrian Sambo Federation.

    The best athletes of the Austrian Sambo Federation’s club: Ringmaier George,Teichtinger, Wolfgang, Duarte Alexandre, participated in this seminar too.
    They awaited Mr. Ferraris’s visit with impatience. A Supply of energy from effective work in a seminar would give them the possibility of raising their level of technical mastery.

    «Sambo has a promising perspective for development in Austria» said president of the Austrian Sambo Federation. The burgomaster Mr. Neudauberg-Burgauberg and member of the Austrian Parliament Franz Glaser greeted the athletes in the seminar to prove it.
    Mr. Neudauberg-Burgauberg thanked Mr. Ferraris heartily for his work with Austrian athletes and expressed hope that M. Ferraris will be a frequent guest in Austria.
