Memorandum on inclusion of Sambo into the Program of the 4th TAFISA World Sport for All Games

On August 23rd President of Trim and Fitness International Sport for All Association (TAFISA) Dr. Rhee Shang-Hi and FIAS Vice-President, President of All-Russian Sambo Federation Mr. Sergey Eliseev signed the Memorandum on inclusion of Sambo into the Program of the 4th TAFISA World Sport for All Games under the Patronage of IOC, which is scheduled to be held from September 26th to October 2nd, 2008 in Busan, Republic of Korea and on mutual cooperation in developing Sambo in the frame of the Program “Sport for All”.

The signing took place during the special Invitation Ceremony in attendance of the representatives of IOC commission Sport for All, International Sport Federations, media and politicians.

In his return speech the FIAS Vice-President Mr. Sergey Eliseev thanked the leaders of TAFISA, IOC members and noted that Sambo is one of the most available sport for people to practice all over the world.

“Participation of Sambo in the Program of TAFISA World Sport for All Games under the patronage of IOC, will attract additional attention of IOC Members. And this is especially important because the main task of FIAS now is to achieve the IOC recognition of Sambo” – noted Sergey Eliseev
